Keep Los Angeles School Police Department in LAUSD

We stand with the dedicated officers who protect our students and campuses. The Los Angeles School Police Department is essential for maintaining safety in our schools.

Proposals to dissolve the Los Angeles School Police Department would have removed the officers who know the campuses, the students and the neighbourhoods they serve.

Parents, staff and community members used the campaign to write directly to board members ahead of the decision. Because each signer was matched to their own district representative, board members heard from the families they personally answer to.

The campaign gave a dispersed community a single moment to act together, without asking anyone to attend a meeting or take a day off work.

Board members were not hearing from a campaign. They were hearing from the parents in their own district, one at a time.
